Amazing waterfalls falling as two parts (Bomburu falls)



Bomburu Falls

This is considered as the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka which is clearly visible from October to May and it is 64 ft in height and falling as two parts and has formed a large pool of water at the base of the fall. This site can be easily reached by proceeding along Uduharawa Perawella road via Ambagasdowa from Welimada  to Perawella village and 1km from there. Also this site can be reached by taking a turn from Rendapola junction from Welimada – Nuwaraeliya road and
from proceeding 5km in Galahagama road and by entering to Perwella Road and proceeding about 3 km.

This is a well known only wooden bridge with wooden roof in Sri Lanka constructed in the Kandian Era and situated  along with the ancient Bogoda temple with nice fresco and a cave done in the Era of King Walagamba. This woodenbridge has created by putting  large three logs across the Gallanda oya. Constructing without using single nail is the specialty of this creation. This place can be reached by having a turn from Hali-Ela Junction in Badulla Colombo Road and by traveling 8km on Galauda road and taking a turn from Jagulla junction and again traveling 3km from there.

Diyaluma Falls


This beautiful waterfall which is very popular among foreign and local tourists in fact adds beauty and pride to the land of Uva. This falls is 560 ft high and it appears in full glory throughout the year. By travelling 24kms from Beragala junction on Beragala Wellawaya (A/4) highway, this fall can be seen by the road side near 124 mile post.
